For ages 3 to 5, this is where curiosity becomes real understanding. Our Reggio Emilia–inspired, project-based preschool lets children help direct their learning through hands-on exploration, natural classrooms, and daily time outdoors, building the confidence they need for kindergarten and beyond.

As Murfreesboro's only Reggio Emilia–inspired school, we see the classroom itself as a teacher. Our rooms are organized to feel open and to flow naturally, filled with natural materials that offer an infinite number of possibilities. Learning centers become invitations, co-created by teachers and children to spark and inspire wonder.
This is what project-based, play-based learning really looks like: children actively involved in the direction of their own days, following studies wherever their curiosity leads. It's an approach that builds not just knowledge, but a genuine, lasting love of learning.
Our preschool program serves children ages 3 to 5, right up until they're ready for kindergarten. It's the final step in Stonebrook's journey from infant care through pre-K.
Yes. While our approach is play- and project-based, it intentionally builds the academic, social, and emotional skills children need for a strong, confident start in kindergarten. You can read more on our Kindergarten Readiness page.

For preschool and pre-K, we offer 2-day (T/Th), 3-day (M/W/F), and 5-day schedules so you can choose what fits your family. Enrollment is year-round based on application date and availability.
