A Respectful Place to Grow

Where toddlers are seen as capable individuals

The toddler years are a whirlwind of firsts: first words, first friendships, first big feelings. At Stonebrook, we meet your child right in the middle of it. Our Toddlers & Twos program in Murfreesboro creates an atmosphere where your child's opinions, actions, and thoughts are respected and valued, helping them build the trust, self-esteem, and independence that shape everything to come.

Learning through play, every single day

From music and art to stories and forest adventures, our toddler classrooms are always busy with hands-on discovery, both on their own and together.

Communication & Connection

As toddlers learn to communicate, our teachers model appropriate language and behavior, helping them share feelings, negotiate with peers, and find their voice in a group.

Confidence & Motor Skills

The classroom is designed for exploration. Children fine-tune their gross and fine motor skills through walking, climbing, and sensory play, building real confidence in themselves.

Social Skills & Teamwork

Through group play kept intentionally small, children develop the social skills, autonomy, and teamwork that come from feeling secure and supported.

Imagination & Creativity

Music, art, dancing, stories, and games stretch growing muscles and imaginations, whether inside, out on the Playscape, or exploring Stonebrook Forest.
The Stonebrook Difference

Care that meets your child where they are

At this age, every child grows at their own pace. Our teachers get to know each toddler as an individual, so support always fits the child in front of them.

Responsive, Individual Attention

Our teachers tune in to each child's cues, moods, and milestones, offering the right encouragement at the right moment throughout the day.

Hands-On Activities

Teachers offer a wide variety of hands-on activities, both individual and group, to match how toddlers actually learn best.

Partners in Potty Training

Potty training is woven into the daily routine. Teachers partner closely with parents, helping each child understand their body and build essential self-help skills at their own pace.

Foods Toddlers Love

Special Diets Welcome

Children with special dietary needs are always welcome. We work closely with families to make sure every child is well fed and included.
The Reggio Emilia Difference

A hundred ways to learn

As Murfreesboro's only Reggio Emilia–inspired school, we believe children have a hundred languages, countless ways to express, explore, and understand their world. Our twos teachers build on that idea with hundreds of different learning activities spanning language, cognitive skills, creativity, critical thinking, and personal and social growth.

Every part of the day has purpose, from music and movement to naps and mealtimes. Self-help skills like handwashing are practiced throughout the day, building the independence and routine that two-year-olds are ready for.
